I'm thinking of when I get a job, building my own guitar Not like, from scratch, but ordering the neck, the body etc. and putting it together. That's the body I'm thinking of getting, then getting a black pickguard and just any old neck. It's quite expensive, that's why I'm thinking of doing it when I get a job.

Considering getting "The Jackhammer" pedal on my birthday. Would make my amp sound like a marshal, which I guess is a tempory solution. What you guys think?

I wouldn't do it, to be honest. I think putting that £30 towards the amp, or a different pedal once you have the amp would be best. Get a simple distortion pedal or something, maybe a mulit-effects medal, a cheap one to see how they work, and mess around with. After I get my amp, I plan on getting the Boss/Roland DS-1, which is £30, and a top quality product. If you go on www.rolandus.com or www.bossus.com you can hear how they sound. Obviously, you can get other sounds, it's a good place to see what the pedals do.

I'm not sure how much it is, but I think you should check out the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone medal. It basically makes anyone sound like Trivium if they know how to play a guitar. The sounds are incredible.

Line 6 are a terrific make of amplifiers. When I tested a Les Paul in Gamlins, he put me on this huge one worth, like, £400, and some of the effects are really nice.

I may be displaying my ignorance, but I've always thought of Marshalls (and Mesa Boogies) as the highest quality amps around.
