Alright Trist/Seb or whoever, I need some fucking help here.
I haven't been able to use YouTube in quite a while now as I get a message saying "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest flash player." when I try to access a video.
I have the most recent version of both of those players, and make sure I have Java turned on at all times.
I'm also having trouble with MSN (this shouldn't be in the MSN thread as this is exclusive to my computer). When I try to sign in I'll have the problem box come up and when I select Troubleshoot everything will be ticked other than Key Ports and Wireless. After the system ticks all of the options other than those two it'll simply say "Progress..." and not do anything else, neither ticking nor crossing them.
My PC seems pretty fucked up, so I'm in pretty desperate need of some help.

Update, I can get onto Windows Messenger (the real old version), but I can't access the most recent Windows Live Messenger service.

Yeah, I did for the MSN thing. The YouTube thing hasn't worked for a few weeks, so I dunno what that's about.
But, tonight I deleted a bunch of Program Files I didn't need (i.e. games etc. that I no longer played) and I replaced a bunch of virus protection stuff.

Go to : -
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.
Then set it back a few weeks, See if that helps, if it doesnt, Just undo it.
And no need to worry about losing documents etc, it doesnt do that, just sets the computer back, if you get what i mean.

Got Windows Live Messenger to work (w00t), so the only problem now is with YouTube and basically all other websites which show videos in the same way (MySpace being one of them).

What exactly happens? Because i remember this happening before.. And AFAIK it was on Windows Media Player vids that didnt show, So try and reinstall/update Windows Media Player? See if that helps

Yeah, Windows Media Player is probably what's causing it.
Due to the fact that if I ever try to listen to music (or an audio clip or whatever) on Windows Media Player then it freezes up my PC and somehow stops all sound from coming from my speakers until I restart my PC.

What version do you have? The Beta one? Or 10? Because either way, WMP 11 is out now

I'm not actually too sure tbh, I'll try updating it, and if I have the most recent version I'll just reinstall it.
