Cable giant NTL will announce tomorrow that its 1.9 million broadband customers are to get a service of ten megabits a second, the UK's fastest consumer internet service. Announced with annual results, the service will be rolled out to all NTL customers, starting with those signed up to its current fastest rate, three megabits a second - a measure of the amount of information delivered through cables. There will be no price rise, but customers will pay different rates depending on how much is downloaded, says Bill Goodland, NTL's internet director. At the new speed, it will take eight seconds for a full CD of music from a service such as iTunes and only minutes for a whole feature film to download. www.thisismoney.co.uk/news/article.html?in_article_id=402821&in_page_id=2
Basically, free upgrades for everyone on NTL to the fastest connection in the UK! But the more you download, the more you pay. I for one, can't wait. I hardly download so it'll denefit me greatly.

I've just had info that it also includes images you see, websites you go on and bandwidth. BAH! That's definately not cool.

What if you went on the same webpage like 10 times wouldn't it just be one download or each time you go on it would it be something new?

Will that change on all NTL internet services too? I have no idea, it might be compulsory, but you might have a choice.
