Vote away! I'm not voting...I think they're both amazing in their own way. Splinter Cell has way more realism (apart from guards survive like 9 headshots) but MGS is more breathtakingly exciting with a brilliant story and better characters. I've read the book of Splinter Cell so..like Halo it brings it's credibility up with me almost to that of MGS.

Im not voting for either, i like both too much, but splinter cell's multiplayer and co-op does edge it a bit ahead as if mgs did ever get multi i think it wouldnt be as good. But no vote for me.

I played Pandora Tomorrow once online for PS2..played as a Merc. unloaded in some Spy's back only to have him jerk away (laggy b*stard) so that put me off it totally.

I only have Splinter Cell (the original) for my Xbox now (which is broken, some mucked up mod chip or maybe coz it's pre-owned...who knows) and I am currently on the CIA Level.."Find the SC-20K"

Chaos Theory is by far the best, but it has horrible in-game ad's which stick out a MILE!

Advertisments? How would they work in a game? In TS:FS there may be something similar..whenever you load the game across the bottom of the screen it says a random message usually along the lines of "Over 150 playable characters!" or "Have you played as Cpt. Papadov yet?"

Well its like this in a cutscene, sam's sitting in a helicopter going over the sea after the first mission, everything is dark and quiet and sam reaches for his jacket and pulls out Airwaves chewing gum which is lit up like a christmas tree and you can almost see sam pose for about a secound with them in his hand...

Hehehe man...that's just so blatantly obvious...they could at least have hidden it abit..suppose UbiSoft or whoever it is got payed a fair bit by airwaves for that though.

Oh im not that far into the game, but ive been asured by many friends that there are more products in the game that get advertised like that. I cant wait for sam to reach for lucozade hydro that will keep him going through even the toughest infiltration missions...

Want to know Ubisoft's excuse? 'Oh it makes it more realistic' says a man sitting on a pile of money

I have to say Metal Gear Solid, I've played both but I find Splinter Cell no where near as good in quality of gameplay, characters or plot.

I'll go with MGS aswell. I'm buying subsistence as soon as it comes out. Online mgs... sweet. Especially the snake vs guards mode.
