I was going to say that

I'm thinking that it was an experiment, if people liked him, he'd be playable again. If they don't, he'll be in the story elsewhere like Sergant Raikov.

yeah raiden wasn't meant to be in it he put him in there at the very end of production to add to the story, he thought people would like him but they just wanted to play as snake, like kanenite said it was like an experiment thing

Raiden was in there from the start. Kojima made some dummy trailers with snake in big shell (Eg, him fighting fortune)

I really liked raiden i hope he's in the 4th, and not as a charcter that was put there for a joke, id liek him to be on the other side of the codec or wahtever helpign snake or actully be there with him.

I already love Raiden. I think Raiden may have been a sort of trial-and-error character if you know what I mean. What if there was some sort of problem in MGS4 where Snake got a girlfriend and Raiden was on codec giving relationship help?? Would be quite funny.

on the picture of mgs4 it has raiden carrying a baby, it could either be rose's baby or olga's baby. he is probably protecting it for the patriots and somehow they have to stop who or watever the patriots are!

I don't understand hardly ANY of your messages Pezzer...I managed to decipher the bit about Raiden carrying either Rosemary's baby or Olga Gurlukovitch's...I think it is probably Rosemary's but it may not be either...just something to pull us the wrong way as Hideo is so good at doing.

I'll explain, thre was one critical word spelt wrong.

Raiden is protecting Olgas (now dead, but shes on the same picture, weird) baby from the patriots and theyre probably gonna go after the patriots themselves in this one.

This sounds plausable

Apart from the patriots being dead for 100 years. Maybe they'll take down GW or decipher the mysteries of the patriots.

GW is the patriots AI, Campbell (in mgs2 in 1 he was real) was the face of it.

My expaination for the patriots still operating even though theyre dead is that they (or their followers and agents) used the philosephers legacy to build GW and program it with all the patriots data, what they stood for etc etc.
