Ultima, have you heard of Gary's Mod? If you havn't i would suggest you google it and download it. Its great to have some fun with, you get to build stuff etc.

Some of them are funny some of them are serious. My personal favourites is the public health warning ones.

In other news im currently downloading Blue Shift off Steam.

yeah half life 2 is an awsome game, i've been playing it with fanatic alot and were in about the 12th chapter out of 14, i cant wait to get it cause it is totally awsome

I have blue shift, its horter than the rest, is garys mod where you direct the game or somthing? Still, any personal halflife 2 experiences, personally, the most annoying enemy are the manhacks, and I always panic when i see a poison zombie. The fast ones are pretty good aswell.

First time i heard the fast zombie scream, i shat myself ran inside where you catch the lift down and barricaded myself in then they smashed through the window and basically panicked and threw a grenade at the wall and it bounced back in my face. You can guess what happened next ;D

Also Gary's mod is basically a tool that can be used to mess around in, its great fun, download it.

I just like the way they jump from building to building. The part with the two combin snipers really got on my nerves, never realised you had to crawl UNDER the train.

Argh don't talk about that part! i spent nearly an hour figuring out what the hell to do....then i remembered that grenades were my friends.

i liked it when me and fanatic were defending alyx and she said she was half way there and we were killing and sing , "we're half way there", it wsa weird, but a memory

I hate to revive a post so old, but I've just started playing half life again.

The striders are mint-

For the uninitiated, striders are war of the worlds esque tripods. They stand taller than most buildings and have an assault cannon and particle cannon attached to their underbelly, and encounter with either is lethal. It takes six RPG shells to take them down (Maybe more).

Well i'm in an area now which is infested with these b*tches. Near this museum there was a massive fight with three of them, and I escaped via a tunnel, I thought it was safe, suddenly a strider smashes the ceiling of the tunnel and runs after me.

They arn't as big as WOTW tripods, but this part of Half Life 2 makes it the best game i've ever played (Or at least, this is the best part of any game)

On the first level I believe you see them in the distance.

I'm looking forward to getting the game, might be the last one I ever buy.

Just completed it, jeeze that was awesome. I didn't really like the end section all that much, but it wasn't BAD. I prefered the guerilla fighting out in the street.

I reccomend this game to EVERYONE with a high end PC.
