The True Money Grabbers...

for the last couple of months, there has been alot of speculation over Sony's attempts to rip off every gamer around the world. However, a recent turn of events mean that Sony are second on the board of money grabbers. in the shiny number one spot is none other than Microsoft.

Already Microsoft are bombarding us with high-priced add-ons, such as the upcomming HD DVD player, and the recently released Xbox Live eyetoy style camera. But the biggest scheme is still to come.

Less than a year after the UK release of the Xbox 360, and Microsoft have announced that they are already designing the next Xbox cosole. Why would they be doing this? Admittance that they are dissapointed with their next generation console that is technologically behind the others? Or are they just trying to rip us all off? You decide.

I think its a load. Plain and simple, there is hardly any power difference between the 360 and PS3, why would they make another next gen console. Retarded idea. The only thing they may do is build in a HD-DVD drive into newer 360's for a higher price.

when I say "technology", I mean these zany new ideas such as motion-sensitive controls etc. Microsoft has nothing like this, thus making the console oldish, d'you see what I mean?

I wouldn't call Sony's six-axis something to be proud off. It looks like it controls like ass. These expensive add-on's are going to pop up everywhere and on every console. It's too profitable to throw away, the wii's controllers cost alot, you have to buy a new six-axis pad once the battery cannot charge anymore.

As for DL content, Sony are taking the cheese with the new GT game. £1 quid for a car? Jeez and i thought oblivion was bad.

The 360 camera isn't needed anyway unless you want to video chat and have your face mapped onto certain multi player games.

And in the end, they aren't forcing you to buy these add-on's, thats really up to you.

Good point. You mentioned the Wii, so what are your thoughts on that? Yay or Nay?

Extreme amounts of yay. Its a new way to play games, plus all my nintendo fav's. It could be the 2nd home for FPS' besides the PC.

FPS' take up the main majority of Xbox games but nothing can compare to a keyboard and mouse. Nothing. Except for the Wii controller.

Oh yes. Personally, I think the Wii will kick the other two consoles into submission. but, like I said, personally.

It depends really. Playstation will sell regardless of price because 'OMGZ F'ING PLAYSTATION!11" and thats what annoys me, people who will willingly go out an buy something ridiculous overpriced just because of a brand name should be shot. I will be getting one but only when it goes down in price and/or when MGS4, DMC4 or the new Final Fantasy is released for it.

Devil May Cry owns man!!!! That was the first PS2 game I ever played, although, after selling every PS2 game I owned, I now only have Resi 4. Which is kick ass.

I'm not getting a ps3 because it's sony, i'm getting it because i want the games and thats all that should matter. If you like the games on that console then it doesn't matter
