I put a new on, and the string I put on sounds uber crap. I bought the Ernie Ball "Hybird Slinky" set, but their too twangy for my liking. Basically, can anyone (guitar players, obviously) recommend me a better set of 'Ball strings. It might be because the string is new, tho'.

Yeah, they sound twangy when theyre new, they all did originaly on my Squire. Play it a lot and it'll start to sound better.

Try a normal set of regular slinkeys or get some heavy slinkys just incase it snaps more, It all depends on the gauge of the strings.
