Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl wants to get drunk with two Australian miners who listened to his band while trapped underground. The rocker has revealed he plans to meet up with the survivors when the band tours the country in October. Grohl, 37, said on Thursday (31.08.06): "You know what? I'm not just having one beer with those dudes - we're going for it. It is going to be a big night." The musician was touched when he found out Brant Webb and Todd Russell - who spent two weeks trapped underground when the mine they were working in at Beaconsfield, in Tasmania, collapsed in May - kept their spirits up by listening to his songs on their mp3 players. Since their rescue, the two men have become celebrities in their own right in Australia. Responding to Grohl's offer, their manager Sean Anderson, said: "I'm sure they will be very keen to meet him."

So if you were in a band, and some endangered people were listening to your music exclusively as their lives were indangered, you wouldn't give them credit.
If Danny Filth (Of cardle of filth fame...silly name) was in Grohl place, I'd say he was a nice guy.

You're trapped, with nothing to do. But instead of going "send down anything" they specifically asked for an mp3 with Foo Fighters music. If I was Dave Grohl, I'd appreiciate that. If he hadn't had responded, I bet everyone would be like "wat a git i hop he dyz btw grole is gey".

Exactly. This has nothing to do with my liking for Grohl, i'd give anyone who did something like that credit.
Now I don't really want to start another Grohl argument. But what else was I supposed to reply to this post with
"Meh, nothing special"
I doubt it.

I have to say, I am quite impressed that a celebrity like Grohl is going to (or has) go out of his way to spend time with his fans, good guy for doing that.
