With all the consoles out now, we can see them for what they really are. There will be no more lies or conspiracy on what the console looks like or how it works.
Microsoft's Xbox 360, Nintendo's Wii and sony's Playstation 3 are all here, ready for us to play their games and see which console is the best.

Xbox 360 - Well it's been out for a while now and, with this extra time over the consoles, has recieved many great titles that has been enjoyed by all. Gears of War is one amazing game and shows off exactly what the xbox 360 is capable of. Dead rising, Rainbow 6, Eldar Scrolls, Viva Pinata and many more, really show what this box can do. It is looking the best at this point in the war and promises many more great titles in the near future. These include : Mass Effect, Bioshock, Halo 3 and so many more. This is one great console and is at the top of the consoles so far.

Wii - This little creative console shows just what nintendo really are. They seem to be looking for new ideas to wow their audience instead of going for next gen technology and (for the time being) it's working. With fun titles like Wii sports, Zelda, Warioware, the wii really brings that extra bit of fun into the games. However this could get tiring, but i'm not sure. Nintendo are offering a few good titles in the future such as Super Mario Galazy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl but i don't know of many others. It seems to me that at the moment the wii is just a fad and will fade out over time. Nintendo are trying to be different and it is working, but for how long can nintendo keep this up? I'm just not sure. It seems as though a wii would be most gamers second console due to the low price tag.

Playstation 3 - It's only been out a week and so far it's brought some pretty good launch titles. Motorstorm really shows some amazing graphics and is one fantastic launch game. Resistance may not have the best looks but it's fun gameplay and unique weaponary make this a fun game that'll keep you hooked. So far, with the PS3s huge price tag, the PS3 hasn't been doing so good. But with some good games in the near future the PS3 is looking good. Metal Gear solid 4, Heavenly Sword, LittleBigPlanet, Kingdom Hearts 3 and much much more the PS3 is offering quite a lot. Using the Blu Ray discs (which may seem pointless, but they can carry alot of memory) you can now fit a lot more things into a game and therefore offer more to player. So far it is losing this war, if you look at the number sold, but i believe the great games and more will make this console good competition for the 360.

I don't who will win the war, so far the 360 is winning and i believe the wii is a fad but the PS3 does have chance. What do you think?

Lol! One month on.

Despite sub standard hardware, the Xbox does indeed seem to be wiining the console war, with its regular influx of games, good community and support, and microsoft working tirelessly to give the player the best experience possible ( unless their console breaks).

Saying that though, PS3 gives a near top notch experience at some points, but in terms of menu interactivity and media capabilities, it pales in comparrison to Xbox. Yet there must be something waiting in the wings that may boost the PS3 to the higher heights.

I think the Xbox 360 will win this war, because it had like, a 2 year advantage on the other consoles, and it gives each audience enough games to satisfy them.

yeah but wityh the new games coming out on PS3, which can have much better graphics with still lots of levels (which wouldn't fit on a DVD), the ps3 can win. I think that the end of next yera (I know it's ages) but the ps3 will be winning.

Infact, none of them will win.

Fact: The Nintendo DS outsells EVERYTHING, seriously. When I was in GAME, the amount of DS' they sell is unbelieveable. They could sell like, 100 in a 2 or 3 days. I know it was at Christmas, but that's still shit loads.

The DS is apartently the best selling handheld ever... its going to outsell the gameboy.

Yeah it is selling amazingly well, but this should just be for the ps3, xbox360 and wii.

Yeah, we do sorta digress a bit.

The Wii will never win, in fact, due to the Wii seeming to come across as a console to buy alongside the 360 or PS3. I can see it pittering out like the Gamecube in the next year and a half. Watch this space.

Yeah, I think that the wii was something everyone wanted, but they haven't brought out enough games. It is different to the others, so it gives it something over them, but the games just arn't good enough.

I think the Wii's an interesting concept and it works well but it doesnt suit everybody, and thats maybe important for a wider outreach? I understand what they're trying to do, and they've achieved it quite well, but I still think some people are going to favour a more traditional approach and that may be their downfall.

Nintendo's downfall is the lack of ACTUAL GAMES for the consoles. I mean, I've got a Wii, and the amount of games that are out is laughable. And, how many "Wii Mini-game Wario included!" titles do you want to buy? I'll answer that one: NONE.

Fuck sake, where's all the decent shit? 360 has tons of great games coming out, and ones that cone out every few months, the Wii's best game is Zelda... which was a launch title. SORT IT OUT NINTENDO, AND RELEASE SUPER SMASH BROS AND MARIO GALAXY ALREADY, MOFOS.

Yeah, if the wii did bring out better games then it would be great. You mentioned SSBB and SMG, those look amazing and i'd buy them if I had a wii. But, what's after those. Nintendo need to start thinking about their games.
